Shawn, With my tournament money I am going to send my fishing partners soup dues in as a Christmas gift for him. I thought maybe other Soupers could give gift of Soup as well to any of their friends who are as serious or as obsessed about catching Stripes as we are. So guys if you dont know what to get your serious striper fishing friends for Christmas that they do not already have then give them some soup!

or give soup gear

Soup-a Claus! I like it. The thing about our membership as it stands, is that based on the way I recruit new members is special. You all 'chose' the Soup. You might not have realized it, but the Soup also 'chose' you. It's a symbiotic relationship between forum and member that doesn't exist on other sites. Giving a membership to someone is a GREAT idea, but you just can't force them to love the Soup like you do.... Razz New recruits are great, they have to find the value in it for themselves. Some people act like it's a chore to get online and log in and click around and read, therefore they aren't serious enough.

Okay, a little Soup philosophy for you guys today! Razz

well I cant fish the tourney now due to boat failure but I will still send the soup dues in for my fishing partner. I will have a long talk with him about seriousness of the soup. I am sure he will have a lot of ingredients to add. Shawn is right on his philosophy.
